Affection is necessary
Love is necessary
Devotion is necessary
To be a necessity, is necessary

But..

It is not necessary that each of your texts gets reverted to right away
It is not necessary that your lover gets a 4G connection just to be able to video call you
It is not necessary that they like and comment on every picture you post
And it is not necessary that they send you a goodmorning as well as a goodnight text

Because it is not necessary that your lover loves you exactly the way you love them..

It is not necessary that the ocean always awaits the river
It is not necessary that the moth always loves the flame

Perhaps, the ocean knows that eventually, the river will flow into it
Maybe, the moth knows that it's just a flame, it'll extinguish eventually

Why pine for a love when you're destined to meet them?
Why light a flame when you know it won't last?

To understand the difference between love and infatuation, I hope we don't forget how to love

So just remember that it is not necessary that your lover loves you exactly the way you love them..

But just imagine..

Imagine that your lover calls you, just to hear the sound of your breath
Imagine that they video call you, just to remove any signs of worry on your forehead

They thank God for your sheer existence

Just imagine..
That they take note of every word you utter

But always understand..

That it is not necessary that your lover loves you exactly the way you love them..

Let your lover write their own songs
Let them recite their own melodies, the way they want to

Nobody needs to learn the language of love entirely
And the one who is supposed to love you, will never make you beg for it

What's necessary is..

That the one you love, loves you in their own unique way but does so with a full heart
And doesn't just become a necessity but also an affection, a love, and a devotion..
